Doing research on a Group Burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St Louis, Mo. From what I have found the personnel were assigned to the 65th Bomb Sq, 43rd Bomb Group and were shot down on 18 May 1945. From the MACR listing, only one aircraft was shot down on this day that belonged to the 43rd and that was B-24J-110-CO, Tail # 42-109864, MACR 14531. The MACR database does not reflect the name of the pilot of this aircraft, so I am not sure if this is the right plane or not. Would anyone happen to have access to this MACR to verify that this is in fact the right plane and crew that I am looking for. If if is the right plane and crew, could I get the crew position for each member. Thanks for all the help

Randy,
I found this information. Only Duff showed as being a member of the 43rd BG. They others could be as I found only one entry for each name.
Hoffman: bombardier, O-785671, from IL, graduated from Demings, NM 44-12
Duff: pilot, O-2072346 from IL
Franklin: pilot, O-708861 from IL
Smith: nav, graduated from SL 45-14
