Chowhound mission 100th BG, 01 May 1945
-
01/20/2008 01:03:42 PM
Good afternoon all, For some time I am researching the History of Naval Air Station Valkenburg in the Netherlands. On May 1, 1945 this station was a dropzone for B-17 aircraft of 100th BG. As far as I know forty B-17s were planned to fly a mission, however 37 aircraft really made it. I am looking for the identities of the B-17s involved. Looking for serial numbers, tail code etc.Do you have any information? Many thanks in advance.Sincerely, Martin de BoerThe Netherlands
