If you are able to get help from AFHRA the item you are looking for is call # 168.6005-120 IRIS # A1718
This is the microfilm copy of the book.
The actual book item is call # 168.7097-17 IRIS # 1027023
This is the book on the 479th. Each squadron has its own section. Plus at the end of the book is a full roster with homes of record. Under each squadron are individual photos of most of the pilots and there is also a squadron photo.
I only copied the 475th section and the full roster when I was at AFHRA on Monday, wish I could help more. The 479th was far from the most famous fighter group, but my Father was attached to them at one time so they hold a special place for me.
