Capt Everett Abar - 01/02/2007 11:12:05 PM
Looking for information on my uncle who was lost over Japan on 4/13/45. Name or S/N of B-29 or Japanese city that was object of mission. He was with 497th and was not flying with his regular plane or crew that day.

Thank you so much for your response. Capt Abar was my mother's only brother and my only family uncle. I am traveling to Osaka, Itami, Matsuyama, and Kure next week and plan to visit Peace Park. Capt Abar and six other crew members were supposedly sent back to the US and are buried in a common grave at the military cemetary in St Louis, Mo.

Dear Richard A. Way
It prays for your brave uncle's bliss.
If it goes to Kure-city, it recommends going to a Battleship "Yamato "museum. Data are sent.

Thank you Terry for the information on the cemetary in Japan. I have visited the gravesite at Jefferson Barracks a couple of times.
