I would add Half Price Books used bookstores to this list.  Their website, halfpricebooks.com has a store locator feature (with the search feature supplied by abebooks). Last time I checked, they were in only nine states, but if you're fortunate enough to live near one, you can do very well. Last week, I got a first edition Zemke's Wolf Pack (as told to/by) Roger Freeman for under $10.00. Over the years, I've found several of Freeman's books, Jablonski's books, and many, many others. They do carry overstocks, but the real treasures come in when someone sells off a personal collection. I try to check our local store at least once a week, because the types of books this group will be looking for tend to sell fast.

I'll certainly "amen" rhammans' suggestion about Half-Priced-Books, if you're looking for bargins. I've picked up quite a few there including some autographed ones.  Of course, if you're looking for something specific you may have better luck with the web-dealers.
