This is a Bit of a Mystery.
Pilot - Bill Brandt 388th BG
8th AF Roll of Honor shows him KIA 2/2/45.
The 388th BG did not fly a Mission on 2/2/45
I have the 388th Book and it Lists no A/C Losses 1/28/45.

Bernard,

There was a 2Lt William J. Brandt, a co-pilot with the 390th BG. His plane ditched in the English Channel due to mechanical failure on 21 Jan 1945. Pilot was 2Lt William E. Sprigens Jr. Nine KIA. Is this a possibility?
