B-24 J #42-78476

Dear All !

I am looking for information the B-24 J aircraft and 1st Lt. William F. Breitmayer crew of plane #42-78476 "Send Me Baby"  flown by the 376th BG 513th BS that locally crashed on Hungary??

    This MACR is on footnote.com.   The plane was observed coming off the target (Moosbierbaum Oil Refinery)  with #4 engine smoking and feathered.  Moments later #1 engine was feathered and smoking and the #4 engine was unfeathered.  The plane rapidly dropped out of formation.   It was last seen at 47 20 N and 15 50 E  at 22,000 headed East  at 12:57.    The entire crew of 11 was captured.  All are listed as RTD on page 1 of the MACR.

    I am the grandson of Ralph Littman.  What sort of information are you looking for regarding this aircraft and crew?  What information do you already have? I'd love to see anything photos or collections that remain.
