Any Search on January 18, 1945? - 11/13/2006 07:12:41 PM
Does anyone know of any searches carried out by the 5th ERS on January 18, 1945 at around 1430 hours for a missing P-51 from the 359th Fighter Squadron, 356th Fighter Group, MACR 11867. 1Lt. Chester W. Lawrence, MIA, was the pilot. His last contact was with a 67th Fighter Wing controller at 1415 hours about 20 miles southeast of Clacton on Sea, England. His own squadron launched four aircraft but they soon returned due to the low 200ft. overcast.
Thank you,
Patrick
