I was fortunate to see several old towers on a recent trip to England.  I was however disturbed to see the tower at Tangmere.  It was in very poor shape.  They do have a nice museum at Tangmere but it would be nice to see the tower restored especially given its' importance to the Battle of Britain.  The runways are still in place but most of the airfield is now greenhouses.

This appears to be a comprehensive site of WW II airfields in England:

Good for you, there are so few left to tell the story of these Fortresses of Freedom, they must be preserved for all time!

We do not want their story or fight for freedom ever forgotten.

England and all those countries who we fought along side and for should join together to preserve and restore these sites
Sincerely yours,
PA.Dutchman
