AIRCRAFT OF WW II IN COMBAT

AIRCRAFT OF WORLD WAR II IN COMBAT Amber Books Limited, 2008 United Kingdom Genera Editor: Robert Jackson ISBN 978-1-905704-88-0 192 Pages Oversize, soft cover This inexpensive book ( Borders Books, special sale section under $10.00) is set up by geographic locations (countries) within the various Theatres of Operation in which the various A/C's operated. The descriptions of the A/C's accompanied by colored profile drawings enhance the various combat photographs and text. The focus is on "the use of the varied platforms in combat" so structural drawings and cutaways are not included. There are quite a few photos that are not often seen in other standard publications. It is indexed. The only downside I found was the small print, but this did not take away from the overall worth of the book. Best Regards! Steven

Mark, I have attached a link to another Thread on this Site about the Ford Willow Run B-24 Liberator Post Card of which I have attached another photo. That Thread has a lot of different info other than what I posted. I have not found much more and my local records are incomplete. I have not yet been able to get into the Henry Ford Museum Archives to access data for this and several other questions in queue. I shall keep looking. Best Regards! "3. Aircraft of World War Two in Combat ISBN 978-905704-88-0 Great photos and illustrations of all the GREAT planes it was only $5.99" Gregg, Yep, I missed this item when I scanned through the posts! However, I did purchase it at the same price. Makes a nice reference book! Best Regards! Steven

Don't apologize, I should have kept quiet. I am starting to sound like some of those individuals who come here to find a error in your posting. It seems to make their day. They sure can take the joy out of coming here real quick.

Lets seeeeeeee first it was: Constantinople ( Greek: Κωνσταντινούπολις, Konstantinoúpolis, or ἡ Πόλις hē Polis, Latin: CONSTANTINOPOLIS, in formal Ottoman Turkish: Konstantiniyye) was the capital of the Roman Empire (330–395), the Byzantine/East Roman Empire (395–1204 and 1261–1453), the Latin Empire (1204–1261), and the Ottoman Empire (1453–1922 Then it was:It was officially renamed to its modern Turkish name Istanbul in 1930 from Wikipeda Regards: T.T.
