98th BG Operations Records - 12/26/2007 06:26:52 PM
Hi Folks,

Does anybody have the 98th BG operations record for the June 26, 1944 mission with the list of the participating planes by their (tail-) letter-code, pilots, and the last three digits of their ship serial number?

Since I am looking for information on the tail letter-codes of the lost 98th BG planes on this day (41-28777 and 42-99762), similar operations records from any previous April, May and June, 1944 missions could also have this information, if the last 3 digits (777 and 762) of these ship numbers are listed in them.

If you have the operations records for the June 26, August 22, and September 10th, 1944 Missions with the list of the participating 98th BG ships, it would also be much appreciated.  Thank you for your help.  If so, you can e-mail them to: gghs@hotmail.com.

Sincerely,

Gabor

Many of the 98th mission reports were lost as they were on a ferry (tug) boat that capsized, prior to being loaded aboard ship in 1945.

I do have a single reference in my files to "762-J". Whether this is in reference to the tail letter OR the model I do not know.
