868 Bomb Squadron

This is an interesting forum. As an Army brat (father was CID, 31 years) with an interest in history, I've learned quite a bit. I was recently at an estate sale here in San Antonio, TX and came across two coffee mugs from the late 40's/early 50's. One side has a picture of a B-24 with "Snoopers" and "868 Bomb Sq.". The other side has a list of stations: Guadalcanal, Munda, Los Negros, Noemfoor, Morotai and Okinawa. I don't want any money for these, I just thought someone who served or had a family member that served with the squadron might appreciate them. Thanks! I've enjoyed the forum! Karin

Hi Karin As the son of A Snooper, (see my post :crewman, Coral Princess) I'd love to have those two mugs for my small, personal collection. Please contact me by email rfruff@yahoo.com. I'll buy them, and cover shipping. Thank-you, Roger

Hi Karin, I've just joined this forum. I'm the son of a Snooper who flew with Roger Ruff's dad on the Coral Princess. I was wondering what the status is on the 868th Coffee Mugs you mention in your post. If one or both are still available I'd be interested in them. Thanks, Jim Evans
