839 BS/487 BG "Salty Dog" - 06/24/2007 11:56:06 AM
I am looking for any info and especially pics of a 839 BS/487 BG B-17G named "Salty Dog" based at Lavenham, England.  I found a list of the crew but only a pic of the tail gunner section of the plane.  I'd like to find one of the nose art of it.
Also interested in what happened to the plane and crew if anyone knows this.

There is at least on photo of the plane on the 487th web site.

It can be found at: http://www.487thbg.org/Photos/DJPhoto/Untitled-12.html

It is possible that other photos in this 'series' are of the same plane, and of that crew.  However because they came to us from a source that does not know the crew, this can't be determined at this time.

Check this series of photos found at: http://www.487thbg.org/Photos/DJPhoto/Jaworsky.html  If anyone here can help with identification please send that information along to me.
