793rd BS personnel roster

Was wondering if anyone has a roster for this Bomb Squadron...specifically the period of 5 Oct 43 thru 9 Dec 43. Looking for info on my uncle John Robert Palmer S/N 0752077. Docs I recieved from NPRC show him attached to this unit for the listed time frame.

Regards
Clint

I do not have the 793rd roster, but have a little bit of info about John Palmer.  This info is from the "Officer's Semi-Monthly Roster" for the 468th BG when they were training in Salina, KS in Nov 1943.

    Marital Status-Name:                               S-Palmer, John R.
    Serial:                                                          O-752077
    Branch:                                                        Air Corps
    Date of Rank:                                              7/28/43
    Age:                                                              1922
    Pilot:                                                            P-5-4 Engine
    Classification:                                              Pilot
    Squadron:                                                   793
    Assigned Per:                                             Hq. Hobbs, N.M.
                                                                          Special Order 234
                                                                          Dated 10-6-43

I will be going to the 58th BW reunion in Hartford this year and will search their archives for a 793rd roster.

    Shootski,
Thanks for the info...would love to see if anything could be found when you go to Hartford..if there is any additional info i can supply to aid that search let me know....One last question...any idea what the "P-5-4 engine" means....I'am guessing 4 engine since they would fly B-29's but the P-5 would mean?????

    Regards
    Clint
