Anybody have a photo or drawing of "Muscle Bound", a p-47d with 83rd FS flown by Lt. Larry R. Casey. Turns out he was a hometown boy where my mother lived. I have an article with his photo and a column notifying US of his missing on 6/11/44. if anybody is interested, send me your e-mail and I'll shoot ya a copy. Jim

Hi Jim there is some confusion about Casey's loss; if you go to Little Friends and put "Casey" and "Chapman" in the SEARCH you will see the discrepancies between pilot, serial number and loss dates. Casey was in the 84FS, Chapman in the 83FS and his plane was "Muscle Bound" HL--N 42-75610 which was an early P-47D-11. Chapman went to the 495th FTG in the previous March; he shouldn't have been with the 78th in June.
I can give you the markings of both P-47s (Casey's was 42-26149 WZ-M bar a D-22 ) if you want. Nick
