My Dad was in the AF 20th, 21st Command, 73rd Wing, 498th Group, 873rd Squadron. I am looking for any & all information pictures of this squadron - crew. His name was 1st LT Harold M Undhiem, pilot. He was from Montana. I have booklets from flight school. I have some of his records @ re-enlistments etc., flight hours logged. Nothing about people who were there.
I am a daughter of a deceased Vet, researching. My Dad was in 20th AF, 21st command, 73rd wing, 498 group, 873rd squadron.

I have some info on the 873rd (lineage & insignia) on my website on the 20th AF page ( www.cbi-history.com). Sorry, I don't have any personal stories or photos. Doing an internet search for the 498th and/or 873rd may yield some other sources, tho. Gary

Cherry...Have you accessed the website http://b-29.org ? This is a website for B-29s of WW II and Korea. The 73rd Bomb Wing just had a reunion at Memphis, Tennesee. Jim :-)
