571st Boston Blackie/Heavenly Cent - 11/14/2007 09:36:31 PM
I would like to contact the gentleman whose made a post that his mother's first husband was 2nd Lt. Joseph N. McAllister, copilot of the Boston Blackie/Heavenly Cent that went down after collision with the Lady Velma.  My Uncle, Boyce L. Pruitt was the Bombardier-Togglier on 2102972.  I have picture of crew 87 prior to leaving Alexandria AAF in October 1944.  Also a picture of their last pilot, 2nd Lt. Roy R. Creasman.  Would like information on Joseph McAllister and will share anything.

J.M. flew 16 missions.  You can pull up alot of info on his missions on the 390th BG website at: www.390th.org    Contact their research dept at:  res390th@aol.com  Caroly can give you a wealth of info.
Regards,
Hugh

Thanks Hugh, but I am familiar (intimately) with the 390th site and its databases and based on emails with them I think I have acquired everthing that they have.  I was able to get a photo and burial information from the nephew of the Pilot and have been in contact with the only survivor of the Lady Velma and his son with the help of the 390th museum and its message board.  It would really be good if I could get a portrait type photo of J. N. McAllister to include in the documentation I am putting together to honor my uncle Boyce.   I am trying to make ripples in the internet pond in an attempt to have relatives of Crew 87 make contact.  When I saw his post mentioning J.N.M. I figured I better jump in here and pitch some pebbles.
