Searching Details about the mission(s) at 3. Feb. 1945. Have no book about the 55th FG!

From John M. Gray's 'The 55th Fighter Group vs the Luftwaffe' it reads they flew an escort mission from Berlin that day and encountered enemy a/c like the ME163, AR234 and ME262 as well as the Mistel configuration (JU88 & ME109), FW190, FW58 while also ground targets were destroyed.

III./JG 7 with Me 262's claimed 3 B-17's 2 B-24's and 1 P-51.

the US 55th fg claimed 0 jets this date. The claim I see is from the US is actually a probable from the 364th fg.

Please see the encounter report of 1/Lt Howes of the 343rd FS at http://www.spitfireperformance.com/mustang/combat-reports/55-howes-3feb45.jpg saying that he downed two Fw 190s and one Ju 88.
