493rd plane down spring 1945 - 09/17/2007 05:18:24 PM
I am trying to get any information about my father's plane going down over the continent in early 1945. My mother has mentioned this to me but I can't seem to find any information except her recollection about the event. He flew with the 493rd out of Debach from Jan. 1945 to the end of the hostilities with the 863rd Sq. (thanks David S.). That would bo all the information which I have. Any help would be appreciated as his records were lost in the 1973 fire at St. Louis.

Thanks in advance,

Brandon K.

Good Morning,

Am looking for any information or contacts who may have known my father during WWII. Trying to research and understand his time in the ETO. Any help would be appreciated.

The hometown listings after the rank and names are from a diary as such from the time called "Combat Mission" which was in my father's belongings along with medals, pictures and other training pamplets most of which cover his time before the ETO.
