Attn: 47th Bombardment Group Association I am in possession of a photo album compiled by a member of your unit, the late Bill Boizelle. His son George gave it to me to see that it finds it's rightful place. Among the papers are some letters about the 47th Bombardment group Association, in particular a letter dated May 23, 1999 to Bill Boizelle from Tony Ykema of Tempe, AZ, announcing the 2000 Reunion planned for Las Vegas. This album is huge and has extraordinary photos of WWII scenes and events. It is my desire to see that it is placed in the proper museum or other archive for posterity. I ask that members of his unit, the 47th, contact me and advise what to do with this amazing album. I do not have the negatives. Bill's grandson may have them but they may have been discarded by that youngster who had no interest in them. I may be contacted at the number below or by email. I WILL NOT sell them. I will only release them to an accredited museum, such as the Air Force Museum. I seek only suggestions from Bill Boizelle's fellow association members as to what to do with them. His immediate family has no interest in this bit of family history. My wife once worked for Bill and desires to see the right thing done with these photos. Thank you for your assistance and any advice on this matter. Karl W. Plitt (717) 328-3653 karlplitt@comcast.net Mercersburg, PA.
