Hello,

All three squadrons of the 474th did fly a mission on 19 May 44. It was Group Mission #10, the day's only mission. The main objective of the mission was to provide withdrawal support of 8th AF B-17s from a rendevous point northeast of Kiel. No 474th claims were made on this mission. They performed the mission as planned even though they spotted Bf109s attacking a box of B-17s near Kappen and also spotted 20 plus Bf109s at two airfields in the area 20 miles North of Schleswig. Hope this helps.
