    Douglas,

Attached is the photo of Let 'er Rip from Freeman's Mighty Eighth War Manual.  The picture in Woolnough's Eighth Air Force Album is the same shot only more tightly cropped to just show the name.  Would be interested to learn if the name of Lt J.E. Thomas painted below the co-pilot's window has any meaning for your father.

Thanks for the photo....Finally found the name of "Lt. Wesley Vawter" on the right side of "Damifino" ....Wes Vawter was Dads' co-pilot and life long friend..."Damifino" was the "personalized" aircraft they flew  many of their 35 missions aboard.

Photo Dad took at Attlebridge early in "Damifino's" career....4 members of crew #555

    Doug,

I have posted all of my dad's 'idenitifiable' a/c photos at:  http://b24bw.proboards.com/ .  Let me know if you would like a better quality scan of any of them.
