    Hi Ron,
The only thing I can add is the following:

    From this link: http://home.comcast.net/~skyscorpions/macr3249.htm

    MACR 3249
389th BG Missing Air Crew Report Details
    USAAF MACR#: 3249
    Date Lost: 6-Mar-44
    Serial Number: 42-100424
    Aircraft Model B-24J-100-CO
    Aircraft Letter: V-
    Aircraft Name: ROLL CALL
    Squadron: 567th BS
    Location: Genshaven, Germany
    Cause: AA
    Notes:

    Position Rank Name Fate Hometown
Pilot Lt Griesel, Kenneth C. POW Bellinham, WA
Co-Pilot 2/Lt Anderson, Kenneth E. POW Seattle, WA
Navigator 2/Lt Gibbons, Philip J. POW Norwich, CT
Bombardier 2/Lt Roberts, Alvis D. POW Fort Worth, TX
Top Turret T/Sgt Brawner, Alfred L. POW Enterprise, KS
Radio Op. T/Sgt August, Manuel A. POW Manville, RI
Ball/Tunnel S/Sgt Brittan, Howard W. POW Maplewood, MO
Waist S/Sgt Devoe, Richard E. POW Lansing, MI
Waist S/Sgt Wooten, Woodrow E. POW McRae, GA
Tail S/Sgt Hill, Carl R. POW Phoenix, AZ

This says Genshaven, Germany. This may also be Genshagen (which I guess is part of Berlin, which would put in quite far from the Netherlands and Belgium) this seems more likely to be their target.
Also, determine if it is Griesel or Greisel?

    Also: http://members.lycos.nl/veldeling/liberat.htm
This is in dutch and gives some reference to Roll Call. I translated some of it by using alta vista's babel fish, so it did not catch all the words.

HOOGEVEEN AND LUCHTOORLOG ALBERT MASON THE END OF LIBERATOR... Het toestel werd boven Zuid-Drenthe verlaten. .... Just as fighting for reaching the Dutch border the Americans of all sides were attacked Focke-Wulf FW 190's. already passed them above drenthe. At the end of the afternoon "Roll Call" were this way found heavily that commander l/Lt. Kenneth Griesel Seattle (washington) had spend the commando "Abandon Aircraft". All eleven crew members jumps

So is it possible Roll Call went down somewhere in South Drenthe, Netherlands?
    Good Luck!

      thx keith for the anwer

the crew jumed indeed abouve overijsel

but in the story say's before the 1e pilot jumped he turned the plane to the east
into the direction gemany and the plane was flying further on the automatic pilot
so it is posible that the plane crashed in gemany because it is not so far away

are there anyway photos of the plane

        Ron & Square K,
I am Roland A. Brawner, son of T/Sgt. Alfred L. Brawner, turret gunner on "Roll Call" when it was shot down. (42-100424 Roll Call )
It is my understanding, from talking with my father (since deceased), that he was shot down over occupied Holland.  The crew was taken to a farm house owned by A. J. Kolkman and his wife, Mary, DeKrim, Holland.  He took care of them for a short time, nursing wounds and feeding them.  The crew knew that the family would be killed for harboring them and they instructed Mr. Kolkman to 'turn them in.'  I have a few letters and pictures from Mr. Kolkman to my father that were written after the POW's were released from Stalag Luft 3 and a number of letters from my father written from the POW camp (to my mother, an English bride).
I have been told that one of the heroes on this aircraft is still alive and living in Mo., however, I have yet to confirm that.  In addition to the letters, I also have a Bible that my father kept while in the POW camps (they were moved around a lot toward the end of the war).  In the back of this Bible is a list of names of the men that were in the POW camp with my father.  I can post or send these to anyone who might be interested.
My father spoke very little about his time in the POW camps or the details of the 'downing.'  I would be very interested in copies of pictures of the aircraft and other crew members, if anyone has such.
                   Many thanks, and best wishes,
                    Roland A. Brawner

I am guessing that Ann is the girlfriend, fiance', etc.

In the event the other names would be of interest to anyone, I will list them, without the street address.

          Francis J. Morello, Butler, Pa.

              To Ron Brawner:
My name is Brad Brittan and my father Howard was the BTO and is the man you said lived in Missouri.  He passed away last June but did tell me some of the things our father went through together on "Roll Call".  He told me that he was picked up by a farmer and ridden on a bicycle to the farmhouse where all the crew met up and lots of other stuff.

Regarding Lt. Kenneth C. GRIESEL.  My father was in the Dutch underground and told me a storey of how they saved a downed airman. When he landed by parachute, they immediately put civilian clothes on him and started walking away. A German patrol stopped them and asked if they had seen the airman, no of course not. The airman gave my father a match box and he wrote his name on it and signed it.  My father has passed away, but I still have the match box, the name on it is Lt. Kenneth C. Griesel  3227  39th Ave. SW   Seattle, Wash. U.S.A.
I can also tell you my father was stationed in the province of Drente.
