364th FG P-51 loss 9 Feb 1945

364th FG reportedly lost a P-51 over the English Channel (or off Ostend) on 9 Feb 1945.
Serial may have been 44-15259, but needs confirmation.
 
Who knows the name and fate of pilot and has the serial of P-51 involved?

    Hi,
     
    The pilot was Lt Robert 'Bob' Jorgensen of the 385FS.
     
    He baled out over the channel due to engine failure and drifted over land; ultimately landing in a minefield on the Belgian coast. He survived the war.
     
    Afraid I can't help with the serial number though!
