306th at Thurliegh

I"m trying to find info for my Father who just turned 88 years young about his brother Freelin Haney who was killed while at Thurliegh. Would like to know the name of his plane, last mission and any crew member names he served with. All and any help will be greatly appreciated.  He was a top turret gunner on a B-17 and was killed by flak.

    Mitchell: Sgt. P.F. Haney was in 306th BG , 367th Sq.
    Top Turret / Flight Engineer
    Pilot - Lt. Paul H. Martin
    306th BG Mission - Peenemunde , GE.
    August 25th , 1944
    KIA by a Flak Burst.
    B - 17 Returned to Base.
    I am trying to locate B - 17 Serial # / name.
    Go to Research - this Site. You can find information
    on how to send for his Personnel Records.
    Also : How to send for his IDPF - Individual Deceased Personnel File

    Mesatone,  I have a picture of your uncle with my Dad. (That's "Red" Haney on the left).
    Let me know if you want to talk to him.  He's still around and would love to tell you some stories...
