Dear Luca,
I have the nine P-47 mission reports of 2nd Lt. Dale Hargrove. My father flew with him on five of his nine missions. Earl Miller who flew on that last mission with him is still with us. I will ask both my father and Mr. Miller for more information. Dale Hargrove is one of the few 345th pilots of whom I do not have an identifiable photo. I have a couple photos which may indeed be him. email me and I will send you his mission reports. 2nd Lt. Hargrove's first mission with the squadron was on 13/Dec/44. So as you can see, there will be little information from the pilots who did not train with him before he entered the MTO. Can you give more information abouut the photo you have? I will try to upload the DOR for his last mission.

The book "The 350th Fighter Group in the Mediterranean Campaign 2 November 1942 to 2 May 1945" only lists him on the Roll of Honor as a 2nd Lt. Missing in Action that date.

Hello,
Thank You very much for that  information.
I 've another picture from the crash site (sorry for the poor quality, they are not original) .
My friend Mr. Mario Colombo ,from Gorla Minore , (chief of the local Veterans Partisan Association) gave me those 2 pictures.
He is in contact with some of the young men people near the wrecks in the pictures.

I've another question for You : where can I find the maps in use by the USAAF's pilots in N.Italy?

Thank You all!
GoodBye!

Luca Ceriani
