Hi Mike,Paul and Torgau, The Macr, which is mentioned, is for another pilot. So the serial for the plane must be a different one... Best regards from rainy Belgium Luc

Hi Terry, The verb ' refute ' was unknown to me, so I had to use Wiktionary to find out its meaning. Is it possible that wrong information is mentioned in an macr ? Was,perhaps, no macr established for 2Lt.John Larsen ? Best regards Luc

Terry, Found only 1 plane missing for that day for 370 FG and was not certain if 2Lt Larsen was flying this plane. So there were 2 planes lost that day. So, no macr made for the plane of Lt Larsen ? Did he return that fast to his unit ? Best regards Luc

Yes two pilots were lost. Lt Ford was KIA and Lt. Larson crash landed close to the front lines being a POW for a couple of days as you stated. I have the book on the 370 FG and it has a list of pilot lost but Lt. Larson is not on the list but in the main body of the book is his story on what happined, in his own words. So maybe no MACR was made .? Like you said he was not lost for to long and the MACR was never made,I'm guessing.
