21st Bomb Squadron 30th Bomb Group Crews

Searching for any information about 21st Bomb Squadron crews of which Walter Conerly, gunner, may have been a part.   If you have any crew photos with names or crew lists that have my fathers name on it, I would greatly appreciate the sharing of this info.  I do know one of his crews was piloted by Lt. Linton Hamilton.  This crew was KIA on 1/18/1943.  My father was on convalesent leave at the time after having his appendix removed.  The loss of his crew was very devastating for him.  I have also seen a photo of him in front of the B-24,  Kiska Katie in the book B-24 Liberator Units of the Pacific War.  Unfortunately, none of the crew is named.

Thanks, Keith Conerly

I learned of Lt. Linton Hamilton in a round-about way.  I have extensive work at Find-A-Grave and a personal connection to the TWA DC-3 plane crash in Nevada that carried Carole Lombard Gable, wife of Clark Gable. Twenty-two lost their lives on January 16, 1942.  Sixteen of those who died were Army Air Corps, including my father-in-law's best friend, Lt. Frederick Dittman. Also aboard was Lois Hamilton, wife of Lt. Hamilton. Just a year later he also died in a plane crash. If I could give you a link, you could see that I have a Virtual Cemetery for all that were aboard with Lt. Hamilton and there is a memorial page for each man. This message board in not allowing me to copy & paste the link.  Are you familar with Find-A-Grave? You can view pages without being a member, and there is no charge to become a member, if you wish.  If you go there and do a search for Linton D. Hamilton, it should bring you to his page. You can then click on the link to his wife and read some info. and also view a picture of her. Please let me know if you are successful. If not, we can try something else.

    Keith,

Sorry, no photo with crew names, but here is a photo of the a/c with crew in front, I also cropped the photo down to just the a/c. Perhaps this visual aid will help someone identify the crew.
