Hello,

I'm looking for information about 1Lt. Joseph F. Pierce 357FG, 363FS.
He flew P-51B 43-6644.
Can anyone tell me when he crashed down and where?

Thanks,

Michel

Michel-
Lt. Joe Pierce was shot down near Anklam while strafing
a Locomotive , witnessed by Lt. Joe Foy and Bill Overstreet.
His P - 51 Hit the ground and Exploded.
There was a rumor that he was killed by Civilians but proven
False when Remains discovered and returned to Oklahoma.

I'm a little confused.  The link I sent you provides the date you requested as well as the MACR #4995 which could provide you the rest of the info you seek.

Michel,

Anklam is to be found in Mecklenburg-West Pommern near the Baltic Sea.
